Cardinale will still have contact with Trusheim because the two districts collaborate to ensure a smooth transition for Bloomingdale students who attend Butler High School, where they make up roughly half the student body. “I was pleased to be part of the process. She is an outstanding, well-respected Language Arts Literacy (LAL) teacher at the Walter T. Bergen School. She is extremely credible with the teachers, staff, students and parents,” said Cardinale. Besides having and the LAL background, Cardinale said Trusheim has some experience in the area of engineering, which serves as a good foundation for overseeing curriculum in the quantitative subject areas such as math and science. “I’m impressed with Kerridyn. I know Kristine Dudlo is a tough act to follow, but Kerridyn is extremely capable and I am confident she will be very successful in the position. I’m excited for Bloomingdale and Butler because we’ll interface with her,” said Cardinale. Although interim Superintendent of Schools Elaine Baldwin was not a part of the interview process, she collaborated with Cardinale about Dudlo’s replacement and was pleased to be able to recommend Trusheim for the promotion.
